The DENWOOD TARGET SHOOTING CENTRE was opened in 1992. Its purpose is to provide a location for National Squad training, Inter-regional and County competitions as well as a local club facility.
Consisting of
- 50metre 3p range, 20 firing points
- 100yard /50 metre prone range, 20 firing points
- 25 yard indoor range, 8 firing points
(the indoor range can be used for 3p and adapted to 8 lane 10m air rifle / pistol)
An ongoing programme of improvement is in place which in recent years has seen the addition of a back wall, individual firing point partitions and wind calming netting on the 50m range to improve conditions for 3P competitors.
The complex is managed by the DENWOOD RANGE ASSOCIATION which represents ABERDEEN & DISTRICT SMALLBORE RIFLE ASSOCIATION, BON ACCORD SMALLBORE RIFLE CLUB and ABERDEEN UNIVERSITY RIFLE CLUB who are all founding members of the Association.
The Denwood complex is available for hire, in whole or part, to any Shooting Clubs or Associations for Competitions or Training.
We also welcome enquiries from Companies or Organisations whose members would like to try any or all of the Shooting Disciplines mentioned in this Web Site.
